NEW ORLEANS – LSU New Orleans wraps up it's fall golf season with the quick trip down South to Mathews, La. for the LaTOUR Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday. The annual tournament takes place at LaTOUR Golf Club and is hosted by Nicholls State.
The Privateers have become very familiar with LaTOUR Golf Club over the past decade. New Orleans has competed in the LaTOUR Intercollegiate in seven of the last nine seasons with an additional appearance at the LaTOUR Collegiate Challenge in 2019. The Privateers did not make a trip to Mathews, La. during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons.
Last season the Privateers shot an 852 at the LaTOUR Intercollegiate – their best 54-hole score since 2009 and their best team effort at LaTOUR beating the 860 they finished with two years ago. Their best team placement was a third-place effort in 2024.
Kyle Bennett holds the best placement (third) and 54-hole score (211) by an individual Privateer at LaTOUR - both set in 2011.
Garrett Trahan's third round score of 66 at last season's tournament is the best single round by a Privateer at LaTOUR.
Of the Privateers headed to Mathews this week only
Taylor Boasberg and
Jude Bourque have collegiate experience at LaTOUR. Boasberg shot a 216 there in 2024, while Bourque shot a 223 last season.

ABOUT LSU NEW ORLEANS
