PENSACOLA, Fla. - The five-game, five-state tour concludes for the University of New Orleans women's basketball team as they visit future Gulf South Conference foe West Florida on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
The final game of an eight-game stretch away from Lakefront Arena, UNO (0-9) will also be playing in a different state for the fifth straight game. The Lady Privateer travels began in Arkansas at the end of November before moving to Wisconsin, Louisiana, Alabama and now Florida.
Head coach Keeshawn Carter's squad is still looking for its first win of the campaign and may not have seen a more impressive performance this year as the one displayed by
Yosha Watson in Sunday's loss at Birmingham Southern.
The freshman narrowly missed a triple-double by notching career-highs in points (21) and steals (eight). The eight steals rank seventh in UNO school history for a single-game performance as Watson also pulled down nine rebounds.
Through nine games, Watson is second on the Lady Privateer roster with 10.4 points and the leading rebounder at 7.5 boards per contest.
Mirjam Sipos continues to be the leading scorer for UNO with 12.1 points per game.
UWF (2-6) will be playing its first contest in 12 days after a break following a 73-63 win over Columbus State on Dec. 2 to snap a four-game losing streak.
The Argos have multiple scoring options with four players in double-figures led by Hanna Vette with 14.1 points an outing. She is followed by Octavia Bearden (12.8), Sher'Ryan Scott (11.6) and Ashley Rush (10.3).
Vette adds another dimension to her game from beyond the arc, connecting on 15 of the team's 31 three-point baskets on the year. No other player has more than six.

Following the trip to Florida the Lady Privateers will return home for a contest against North Alabama on Sunday at 12 p.m. The game is the front-end of a doubleheader with the UNO men, who will tip off at 2:30 p.m.
