SCHEDULE

NEW ORLEANS – The LSU New Orleans Privateers women's basketball schedule has been released and includes a rugged opening stretch on the road against three SEC schools in the opening week of the 2026-27 season.
 
Head Coach Trelanne Powell's new look squad, which has one returner from last season, will open the season on Nov. 2 against Arkansas. The Privateers will then follow with road games at Alabama (Nov. 4) and Texas A&M (Nov. 7).
 
The Privateers continue their road swing to begin the season with contests at Tulane (Nov. 12), at Tulsa (Nov. 18) and at Oral Roberts (Nov. 20). From there, the Privateers will open their home slate on Nov. 24 when they face West Alabama.
 
After a home game against Bethune-Cookman to close out November, the Privateers will open their Southland slate with home contests against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and UTRGV to begin the month of December.
 
A brief respite from conference play sees the Privateers play two road games in Florida. A return trip to Bethune-Cookman on Dec. 11 precedes a trip to new Div. I member, West Florida which comes two days later.
 
The Privateers go back to conference play with two road games before the holiday break against UIW and HCU. The calendar year of 2026 closes with another road Southland game against East Texas A&M New Year's Eve.
 
2027 begins with a road trip to Northwestern State which is followed by five of the next seven games at home to encompass most of the rest of January.
 
The final full month of the regular season includes a four-game homestand against UIW, HCU, Stephen F. Austin and Lamar. The Privateers close out the regular season on Feb. 27 at Southeastern before the Southland Tournament takes place in Lake Charles once again at the Townsley Law Arena. The women's tournament begins on Mar. 8.
 
ABOUT LSU NEW ORLEANS
In July of 2026 the University of New Orleans rejoined the LSU system and rebranded to "LSU New Orleans" bringing together two powerful brands - the purple and gold of LSU with the unbreakable spirit of New Orleans. The transition marks a return to the LSU family for the University - a place it called home from 1958-2011. Athletic teams will remain the Privateers and continue to compete in the Southland Conference.
