NEW ORLEANS – The great partnership between the University of New Orleans and Special Olympics Louisiana will be on full display on July 24 at Lakefront Arena as the Privateers host their summer basketball clinic between 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
2021 will be the 11th year of hosting the Special Olympic Basketball Clinics at UNO.
"Our partnership with Louisiana Special Olympics is one of our most cherished and rewarding relationships," said head coach
Mark Slessinger. "We are motivated and encouraged by the athletes we are blessed to work with. The lifelong relationships we have formed with past athletes and their families make the experience even more special and we look forward to welcoming our friends back to Lakefront Arena and the University of New Orleans."
"Community service is one of the best parts of being a student-athlete," said
Kmani Doughty. "We are excited to host an event with Special Olympics Louisiana."
